We can be the best for our children and young people when we look after ourselves. Self care is essential to our wellbeing. I speak to many parents and teachers who are stressed, doubting how good a job they are doing, becoming irritable and impatient, and they don’t feel good about this.
Even when the going gets tough, how can you maintain a sense of calm and balance? You are more likely to be able to keep perspective and your cool when you have had time for yourself. 2 minutes to breathe, to enjoy a hot drink, to step outside.
