Writing a section on self-esteem for my teaching guide around positive mindset and mental wellbeing, got me thinking…
How is your self-esteem? I hear lots of people say “but that’s boasting, I can’t brag”, etc… these tend to be phrases we’ve heard as kids and that have followed us into adulthood… what do you tell yourself?
What do you love about yourself? What is a great quality in you? What great stuff have you done in your life so far? And how does it feel to think like this? If there is resistance or discomfort then perhaps this is an area you could examine more closely.
The more we take care of and respect ourselves, the less we are affected by external events. This is about healthy self love and respect. How can you start to look at this for you?
