Practical Mindset

Jill Trevena is the founder of Practical Mindset. She is a state registered Occupational Therapist with 20 years experience in assisting people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing, improving quality of life.

Her aim is to support people to be the best they can be, and live the life they want to live.
She currently works in schools UK-wide, coaching children and the supporting adult, be this teacher, support staff or parent, to learn and apply practical approaches to positive mental wellbeing with the aim of proactive self management. 

Sessions are outcome focused, and the client is advised to use techniques consistently as part of their daily routine for maximum benefit.

Author of "The Practical Mindset Toolkit" for schools, a curriculum-based resource widely used across Scottish schools.

I’m a qualified Registered Counsellor, International Certified Alcohol and Drug Therapist, Certified Life Coach, Practitioner in NLP and Hypnotherapy.

I'm experienced, knowledgeable, diverse and trustworthy and most of all I understand people and make no judgements, I will hold you in a safe space until you find your inner self and design the life you desire and deserve.

I have worked with many clients from all walks of life and from all around the world with diverse reasons for seeking my help which is a pleasure and a privilege, all of which enhances my experience and expertise.

Denise is highly experienced in the delivery of mental health and well-being workshops to schools, businesses and charities.

She has achieved a Highest Distinction in Child & Young Person Counselling and is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor
